THE BLUEPRINT DOCUMENTARY & LIVED EXPERIENCE PANEL DISCUSSION
"A POWERFUL RESOURCE FOR UNDERSTANDING YOUTH CRIME AND PREVENTION, TOLD BY THOSE WHO’VE LIVED IT."
as part of SOCIAL SCIENCES WEEK
The documentary considers the complex web of factors leading to youth offending and crime such as family and peer dynamics, community marginalisation, identity, mental health, and social media. By hearing directly from young people, the documentary explores how these factors impact their behaviour, sense of belonging, and relationship with services as well as the supports they relied on to break the cycle of offending.
The presentation will also include the launch of the new BP363 Bachelor of Social Science with majors in Youth Work and Mental Health & Wellbeing.
