Transformative social sciences: education and partnerships in action

Bringing together students, partners and academics, this hybrid panel event will focus on the transformative impacts of social science education in applied partnerships for sharing knowledge, developing the next generation of change makers, and to enhance the depth and breadth of social science education. We will hear from those who have engaged social science students as interns, students who have worked during their degrees in related fields, and from academics who are committed to advancing education through practice. The session will highlight the breadth and depth of the impact of social science training in a broad range of industries, alongside encouraging industry partners to consider the value of working with students (undergraduate and postgraduate alike) to both transform their education experience and to enhance the work of the organisation. This will be an event for industry partners, current and future students, and social scientists. While those who join us in person will be offered delicious breakfast treats, we welcome participants from across Australia as there are no boundaries to supporting and engaging with social science education opportunities.
