Abstract: Periods can quietly push girls out of outdoor programs—through discomfort, shame, or lack of support. This session explores the real impact of menstruation in the outdoors and what we can do about it. We’ll share practical strategies, first aid essentials, and ways to open up conversation without awkwardness. It’s about supporting girls and staff to feel prepared, included, and confident. Walk away with a period-positive cheat sheet and ideas to keep everyone in the game, no matter what time of the month it is.
