SSW 2022 – that’s a wrap! Save the date for 2023

4 October 2022 | General News

A feminist and inclusive sport podcast, sustainable transport transitions and adventure therapy intersecting with grief work were some of the widely different and fascinating topics explored in Social Sciences Week 2022 (SSW2022).

Some of Australia’s best social science thinkers, researchers and commentators informed audiences around the country in more than 85 online and face-to-face events that ranged from the highly localised to the big questions and big data of the social sciences.

Thank you to our sponsor, RMIT University Centre for Urban Research, and our partner universities and organisations whose commitment and energy made the fifth year of Social Sciences Week the biggest and best yet.

Put 4-10 September 2023 in your diaries for Social Sciences Week 2023.

If you found it impossible to get to everything—we tried!—you can catch up on recordings, videos and downloadable papers on the website. Revisit favourites, discover hidden gems and share with friends, students and colleagues.

Below are just a few highlights from the week. Where recordings are available we’ve included a link and will keep adding as links become available.
