Susan Mlcek is an Associate Professor of Social Work and Arts, and holds the Associate Head of School learning & teaching portfolio, in the School of Social Work & Arts, Charles Sturt University. She is Māori First Nations, and teaches and supervises across all facets of social work and human services curriculum [all levels: undergraduate, post-graduate, higher degree by research]: especially in topics to do with First Nations Peoples and communities: Whiteness studies; decolonisation methodologies; social engineering of Indigenous Peoples; cultural competency and safety; Indigenous and non-Indigenous research paradigms, and pedagogies of indignation and discomfort. She is qualified and experienced in several discipline areas, including: adult education; literacy, language and numeracy, as well as management and leadership. Dr. John Paul Healy is a social work lecturer with Charles Sturt University and based at the Bathurst Campus on Wiradjuri Country. John has been with the University since 2008. John's research interests include New Religious Movements (also known as Alternative religions or Cultic groups), Experiential Education, and Qualitative Research Methodologies. John teaches Group Work Skills and Interpersonal Communication skills for counselling. John lives in the Blue Mountains, Katoomba on Gundungurra Country. Will W. Dobud, PhD, MSW, is a social work lecturer with Charles Sturt University and has been involved in outdoor therapy in the United States, Australia, and Norway. His internationally recognised research focuses on participant experiences in care and improving outcomes in the outdoor therapies. Will is passionate about experiential education and the developing of passionate social workers.
