How do we make the jump from university to the job market, linking an academic degree to a non-academic career? What sort of jobs should I be looking for with a politics, anthropology, gender studies, or other social sciences degree? How do I talk to potential employers about being a sociology, international relations, or planning major or doing a Masters of Research in human geography? This workshop answers your questions about getting jobs with a social science degree, including strategies for your resume, interviewing, and searching for opportunities in the first place. If you (or your parents) are worried about life after university, wondering how you might translate a degree your passionate about into a challenging job and career you are excited about, this workshop is for you. The focus is on non-academic positions, that is, jobs that are not at universities.
